Education for Sustainability
GreenKiwi is an education for sustainability programme for New Zealand schools.
We provide outstanding, practical resources to help teachers and students discover sustainability. Our material facilitates effective, student-centred instruction that is assessment friendly, curriculum based, multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary and very importantly, fun.
GreenKiwi resources are free for any New Zealand teacher who registers to use them.
Spaceship Earth is our exciting first course that teaches existing curriculum within an education for sustainability framework. Key sustainability concepts are presented in an interpretive context that will engage and fascinate students.
In 2021 GreenKiwi will launch four new courses: ‘More good with less stuff’ for year 3-4 students. ‘Sustainability at Home’ for year 5-6 students. ‘Solving Climate Change‘ for year 7-8 students. ‘Sustainable Development’ for year 9-10 students. Contact us to be notified when courses launch.
We will be running a fundraising campaign in 2021 for the development of the new courses. We are a not-for-profit Charitable Trust relying on the generosity of people to enable this important work. Sign up to be notified of the campaign launch.
